As a newly recruited Engineer Surveyor, you would automatically be enrolled onto our unrivalled induction training programme. This role is suitable for an experienced engineer with strong Lift and Crane knowledge.
Responsibilities
* Anticipate clients’ needs and help ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* Collaborate with your Engineer Surveyor Team led by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
* Prepare inspection reports using electronic reporting for fast, efficient client delivery.
* Conduct hands-on inspections of plant and equipment (lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, construction plant).
* Work in a physically demanding environment, which may include working at height, in confined spaces, lifting, and exposure to noise and dust.
Salary
Starting salary £44,213 plus company car and additional rewards as part of our total package.
About You / Qualifications
* Up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules for Lift and Crane discipline.
* Strong decision-making ability and accountability.
* Effective short-, medium- and long-term planning; able to diarise meetings, visits, and work allocation.
* Willingness and ability to travel within your local area.
* Experience with processing documentation and general administration in a timely manner.
* Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as required.
* Passion for engineering, self-driven, and capable of engaging with diverse clients daily.
* Hands-on experience with lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment; manufacturing/repair/maintenance background.
* Strong customer interaction skills, with good oral and written communication.
Essential Skills
* NVQ Level 3 or higher in a mechanical-related subject.
* Full valid UK driving licence.
* Time management skills and ability to organise weekly workload independently.
* Proficiency with tablets and smartphones as essential tools.
