* Pay Rate: £313 per day through FCSA Umbrella
Role Description
* SAP BODS - System Upgrades and Patch Management
o Perform periodic upgrades of SAP BODS as new versions become available.
o Apply security patches, bug fixes, and performance enhancements as released by the vendors.
o Conduct pre-upgrade assessments, including compatibility checks and testing.
o Ensure minimal disruption by scheduling upgrades during agreed maintenance windows.
o Provide rollback procedures in case of upgrade failures.
* System Monitoring and Performance Tuning
o Monitor system health, including server performance, memory usage, and query efficiency.
o Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize configurations to improve responsiveness.
o Provide recommendations on system scaling and capacity planning.
* User Support and Issue Resolution
o Offer technical assistance to users experiencing issues with Tableau Business Objects.
o Troubleshoot report generation failures, dashboard performance issues, and connectivity problems.
o Maintain a ticketing system for logging and tracking issues, with agreed response and resolution times.
* Backup and Disaster Recovery Support
o Support in the regular backups of SAP BODS, Tableau, and Business Objects environments.
o Support recovery procedures in case of data corruption, server failures, or cyber incidents.
o Conduct periodic disaster recovery drills to validate system resilience.
* Documentation and Reporting
o Maintain an updated knowledge base for troubleshooting and best practices.
o Provide periodic reports on system health, incidents, and resolutions.
o Document all patches, upgrades, and major changes in the environment.
