We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified Building Control professional to join our supportive, modern, customer-focused team, ensuring buildings are compliant and safe for residents and visitors.
You will join our proactive, customer-focused Building Control team, involved in exciting developments, including large housing and commercial projects across the borough.
You will manage a broad range of building control projects, ensuring their successful completion, and help grow our business by establishing strong relationships with architects, developers, and clients.
Brentwood is a thriving borough of 75,000 residents, located in the Green Belt, featuring busy high streets, picturesque villages, parks with trails, excellent schools, and cultural events. Its good transport links make it a great base for exploring London and the East of England, with airports like Stansted, Southend, and London City only 30 minutes away.
Salary: £42,700 - £47,156 per annum, Grade H (SCP 37 - 41), with a market supplement of £8,000 (review after 12 months)
Requirements:
* Substantial relevant experience in a similar role
* Membership of a professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB
* Good customer service skills to build and maintain business relationships
* Registered building inspector with the Building Safety Regulator, minimum class 2 category A
