Job Description: Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is a SAFECROWDS GROUP Ambassador responsible for providing operational support to the Operations Director and business leaders for SAFECROWDS GROUP. This role requires a hands-on leader with a valid SIA licence, excellent people management skills, and the ability to operate both strategically and on the ground. You will oversee daily operations, scheduling, compliance, recruitment, training, and site supervision to ensure the smooth running of security and traffic management services for our clients.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT
Create, manage, and adjust employee schedules to meet operational requirements.
Approve and process employee timesheets following shift completion.
Ensure adequate staffing levels are always maintained to meet client needs.
STAFF RECRUITMENT & DEVELOPMENT
Lead recruitment at all levels — from frontline operatives to senior operational staff.
Oversee onboarding, inductions, and performance management.
Keep morale high, resolve staffing issues, and ensure our team is the best in the business.
Support employee engagement, performance management, and retention strategies.
ON-SITE LEADERSHIP
Step in as a Remote Supervisor for client sites when needed.
Operate as a manager leading teams on the ground as and when projects require it.
Work closely with clients to keep service standards exceptional.
TRAINING & COMPLIANCE
Oversee the administration of the company's Training Academy.
Ensure all staff accreditations, certifications, and qualifications are valid and up to date.
Maintain accurate training and compliance records for auditing purposes.
GENERAL DUTIES
Work flexibly, including weekends, based on business needs (with lieu time provided during the following week).
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and employees.
Support the senior management team with strategic and operational initiatives.
Gravitas to influence and build relationships at all levels across the business.

REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL:
Valid SIA licence.
Proven operational management experience within the security industry.
Strong knowledge of scheduling, timesheet approval, and workforce management.
Experience in recruitment and employee development.
Ability to work weekends and adapt to changing business needs.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Competent in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
Full UK driving licence.
DESIRABLE:
Previous experience in Traffic Management and/or HVM operations.
Knowledge of security compliance standards and industry best practices.
First Aid and Health & Safety qualifications.
