About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Carer Recruitment Officer to join our team at Ryan Care Fostering in Wanstead. The focus of the role is to raise awareness of fostering across the local community to help generate and nurture enquiries. You will be responsible for the initial stages of our foster carer recruitment and will keep in close contact with our applicants through to their fostering panel and beyond. Experience in fostering or recruiting foster carers is not required, but a passion for helping children and young people is essential.

We are part of the National Fostering Group, supporting local authorities by providing foster placements for vulnerable children and teenagers throughout the UK. We are the leading fostering provider in the UK.
Responsibilities
* Raise awareness of fostering in local communities
* Generate and nurture enquiries
* Conduct initial visits and record applicant information
* Engage with the public and existing foster carers at events
* Create opportunities for word-of-mouth referrals
* Maintain contact with potential foster carers
* Support the initial training and assessment process
* Manage and update the database of potential carers
* Report on recruitment activities and outcomes
Candidate Profile
* Strong communication skills and a friendly, flexible approach
* Proficient in basic Excel and database management
* Experience in marketing or working with databases is a plus
* Full driving license and access to a car
* Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
