Two part‑time (36hrs) Scheme Support Officers are required for a young persons’ Supported Accommodation scheme in Caerphilly. You will work on a three‑week rolling rota, which includes 12‑hour shifts, both waking nights and days. This is a Scheme Support Officer role based at our warm, welcoming and friendly service, Maes Y Derwen in Caerphilly. Working in a team, you will provide support to a diverse group of service users aged 16 and over who are experiencing homelessness, trauma and complex needs. You will provide housing‑related support to equip our service users with the knowledge, skills and tools that they need to be able to live independent lives.
Responsibilities
* Engaging and interacting with the people we support
* Supporting Project Workers in delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
* Welfare checks
* Ensuring the building is secure, including health & safety checks and maintaining an awareness of who is in the building
* Dealing with challenging behaviours
* Addressing any additional needs the people we support might have
Qualifications
* A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
* Ability to provide advice appropriately
* The knowledge of issues facing vulnerable and homeless people
* A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
* Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations

* £24,531.00 FTE (£12.75 per hour)
