£47,683+ Depending on experience What you’ll be doing: ·
Performing Manufacturing Engineering activities across multiple disciplines to enable a robust manufacturing estimate is generated and documented
·
Planning and discharging workload through the appropriate toolsets
·
Understanding Engineering Tool Drawings, Tooling Scheme’s, Component Drawings & Specifications
·
Supporting large scale bids for new work (generating data packs and estimates)
·
Down selection of suppliers for sub-contracted work
·
Stakeholder management (internal and external) to ensure all dependencies and requirements are understood and managed to completion including the shipment of completed tooling to either stores or end users
·
Working closely with the Operations, Sub-contract and Quality teams
·
Creating tool manufacturing plans in SAP (new build, cycle checking and modifications / refurbishments)
·
Supporting key business operational challenges with structured proactive approach; reviewing order book management and influencing Make v Buy decisions
·
Developing broad knowledge of internal and subcontract manufacturing capabilities and processes
·
Customer / Supplier facing role across multiple platforms and locations
Your skills and experiences:
·
HNC or have completed a Craft/Technician Apprenticeship with experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role
·
Knowledge of Toolmaking and General engineering practices.
·
Knowledge and experience within a tooling role in a Manufacturing Engineering environment (including NC Machining, NC Programming & Assembly Tooling)
·
Excellent communication skills – in terms of preparing estimates for bid work, presentations.
·
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
·
Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems desirable – SAP/LN/SFM
·
Continuous improvement experience
