A co-educational independent day and boarding school in Horsham, West Sussex, catering for 430 students and staff. The role involves providing breakfast, lunch, and supper during the school term (40 weeks), mainly Monday to Friday, with a busy hospitality service. We are seeking a talented Chef De Partie with pastry experience to join our team at our prestigious Horsham location.
Applicants should have previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level, with a passion for working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and creating bespoke menus. Creativity and skill showcase are encouraged.
Key responsibilities:
* Work effectively within a team of chefs to provide catering for pupils and teachers.
* Prepare food using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch, and adhering to brand standards.
* Maintain food standards and control wastage.
* Follow Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen control procedures.
Desired skills:
* Genuine interest in food and customer service.
* Team player with innovation and passion for quality food.
* Organized with attention to detail.
* Understanding of food costs and wastage.
* Good verbal and written English skills.
* Experience in customer service or food prep preferred.
