Overview
Commercial Director with a unique progression path to Managing Director (UK). Senior Management role with mentoring-led handover to MD status over time. Location flexibility in Rugby, Northampton, Coventry, Warwickshire, Milton Keynes.
Responsibilities
* Lead strategic direction for the UK operations within a privately owned, international tech-led manufacturing group.
* Drive sales growth, expand market share, and improve channel performance across trade distribution, trade retail and e-tail channels.
* Oversee business development in MRO, Industrial Supplies, Automotive Aftermarket, Agricultural and Engineering Supplies sectors.
* Collaborate with current MD during handover to gain insight into people, culture, customers, and growth strategies; assume full MD status over time.
* Influence at board and owner level with gravitas and confidence.
* Build and develop a high-performing leadership team and company culture.
Qualifications & Background
* Degree educated with high intellect.
* Senior leadership experience within the market sector.
* Strong understanding of complex distribution routes to market and fragmented supply chains.
* Proven record of sales growth and commercial performance.
* Stable and progressive CV demonstrating upward career trajectory.
* Experience managing a business or business unit with real accountability.
* Strong analytical and IT capability to turn data into actionable strategy.
* A passion for technology and technical products.
* The gravitas and confidence to influence at board and owner level.
