We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team, ensuring high-quality food preparation, menu innovation, and efficient kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of culinary techniques, and the ability to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation. The restaurant theme will be Asian fusion, a very good understanding or a willingness to learn and adapt new skills is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Management & Operations
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth workflow.
* Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
* Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP).
* Monitor and control food costs, waste, and inventory levels.
* Coordinate with suppliers for quality ingredients and cost-effective purchasing.
Menu Development & Innovation
* Design and update seasonal menus, ensuring a balance of creativity and profitability.
* Experiment with new recipes and flavours to keep the menu exciting.
* Adapt menus to dietary restrictions and customer preferences.
Team Leadership & Training
* Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.
* Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching.
* Schedule kitchen staff and ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
* Encourage teamwork and professional growth among kitchen staff.
Health & Safety Compliance
* Ensure all kitchen staff follow proper hygiene and food handling procedures.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
* Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective measures.

Pay: £18,000.00-£34,200.00 per year
