Job Title: Panel Wirer Fitter (Factory Based)
Location: West Brom
Pay Rate: £13 - £20ph
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Temporary Ongoing
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
* Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
* Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:40 PM
* Includes a daily break for lunch
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Panel Wirer Fitter to join our factory-based team in West Brom on a temporary ongoing basis. This role involves a variety of electrical engineering tasks focused on control panels and units. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Select and mount electrical components accurately
* Wire electrical components to specification
* Diagnose and resolve electrical faults
* Perform electrical testing and inspection
* Refurbish electrical units as required
* Complete all job-related paperwork and documentation
* Modify and troubleshoot PLC systems
* Support general workshop duties as needed
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
Required Experience & Competencies:
* Qualified Electrical Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer with PLC experience
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification
* Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics
* Competent with IT and Microsoft Office applications
* Strong communication skills - verbal and written
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a proactive problem solver
* Flexible, adaptable, and a collaborative team player
* Willingness to travel to customer sites if required
