Inspiring Change Through Acceptance-Based Support

Are you ready to break away from traditional models of education and make a real difference?

Accepting Behaviour is looking for compassionate, values-driven teachers and tutors to join our growing team. We support autistic and neurodivergent young people who have often been let down by mainstream education. Our work is community-based, student-led, and rooted in unconditional acceptance.

We do not try to fix children.

We do not measure success by compliance.

We build trust, empower autonomy, and let each student lead.

If this sounds like your calling, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

You will be supporting young people through:

* Interest-led and flexible learning, often outside of school environments
* 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 sessions in homes, libraries, parks, or local community spaces
* Relational approaches that allow space, choice, and trust to develop naturally
* Ongoing communication with families and other professionals

We provide full induction, support and regular debriefing. You will never be expected to force compliance or use behaviourist strategies. Instead, you will support authentic engagement and personal growth.

What We Are Looking For

* Experience working with SEND or neurodivergent students
* A flexible, calm, and non-judgmental attitude
* People who value relationships over results
* Ability to work independently but as part of a connected team
* Qualifications in teaching, tutoring, or care are welcome but not essential. We value lived experience and a strong sense of purpose.
* We also support the Birmingham, Solihull, and Walsall areas. If you would like to join our database for these areas, please get in touch, and we will inform you when cases arise.

Essential Requirements

* DBS check (or willingness to apply)
* Two references
* West Midlands-based with immediate work in Kidderminster and nearby areas.
* Commitment to a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed way of working

We Believe In Doing Things Differently

Too many young people are excluded, misunderstood, and unsupported. At Accepting Behaviour, we are proving that another way is not only possible, it is essential.

If you believe in respecting differences, challenging outdated models, and putting the young person at the centre, we want to hear from you
