We are seeking a dedicated and committed Year 8 SEND Teacher to join a caring and inclusive school community. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners with a range of additional needs and help them achieve their full potential. Beginning June 2025.
Duties as Year 8 SEND Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that support academic and personal development.
Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Work closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic progress.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, keeping clear records and reporting in line with EHCPs.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through consistent routines and supportive strategies.
Ideal Year 8 SEND Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with SEND learners, preferably in Key Stage 3.
A flexible, nurturing approach with strong classroom management skills as a Year 8 SEND Teacher
An understanding of how to adapt teaching for pupils with diverse needs.
