What will you be doing?
My clients mission is to be the leading service provider in the Water and Waste Water Infrastructure sectors in the UK. They are known for their commitment to integrity and safety, with a culture that values the well-being and diversity of our people.
My client are proud to be a key partner on delivering a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland capital investment programme.
They are currently looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Glasgow. The role will be mainly office based with the odd day a week working from home.
You'll be responsible for administering the NEC form of contracts, raising early warning notices to the client and subcontractors. We'll need you to have a keen eye for detail identifying, notifying and pricing of compensation events.
You'll need to produce or support the production of CVRs and P&L reports along with managing subcontractors from tender inquiries to final accounts, review subcontract quotations and be involved in placing subcontract orders.
You'll check time-sheets and staff allocations for different work packages, agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar level within with a civil engineering or utilities contractor would mean you could excel in this role!

Are you familiar with assessing and paying subcontract applications, preparing applications for payment for assigned work packages?
Are you a proactive mentor? As part of this role you'll be managing and mentoring of junior members of the commercial team, supporting their growth and knowledge.
Do you have working knowledge of the NEC3 suite of contract?
Are you experienced using CEMAR?
Have you gained experience in the Utilities/Rail/Highways sector?
