Service Engineer – Emergency Lighting & Fire Alarms (Subcontract Role)
V7 are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on emergency lighting systems and fire alarm systems. This is part of a long-term commercial public sector contract with loads of ongoing work and excellent opportunities for repeat subcontract roles. The work will primarily be across north London and the m25 area mainly on commercial sites. Our client is a rapidly growing national business specializing in the security and fire industry, delivering high-quality installation, service, and maintenance nationwide.
The Contract
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on emergency lighting systems and fire alarm systems.
* Testing, inspection, and certification of emergency lighting in compliance with BS 5266.
* Servicing and fault-finding on Protec addressable fire alarm panels as well as other addressable and conventional systems, in line with BS 5839.
* Minor repairs, replacements, and component changes where required.
* Completing service reports and liaising with site managers to ensure compliance.
* Working on commercial buildings including offices, retail, and mixed-use facilities.

Requirements
* Proven experience in servicing emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
* Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
* Knowledge of BS 5266 and BS 5839 standards.
* Experience working on Protec fire alarm panels.
* Electrical isolation qualification (desirable).
* Experience working on commercial properties.
* DBS checked or willing to obtain.
