Morson Edge are currently seeking a Technical Equipment Conditioner & Inspector to join the team at RNAS Culdrose on a permanent basis.

ABOUT -

To perform the duties as laid down in the relevant Equipment Sentencing Cell Working

Instructions. This includes the triage inspection and conditioning of assets presented to the

Equipment Sentencing Cell or rejected by the CSC Quality Engineers. And to provide R2 & R4 with correctly conditioned repairable assets. In addition, to always operate within both Leonardo Helicopters (LH) and MoD HSE requirements.

PURPOSE/ ACTVITIES AND TASKS –

Carry out work which will enable LH Management to achieve all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Operate the current release or version of IOS IT systems relevant to role, to include, SAP, MJDI, CIETP, GOLDesp, Resolve and ModNet.
Ensure equipment used, is fully serviceable and meets the operating requirements in accordance with HSE policies.
As an equipment conditioner, ensure all assets are conditioned Serviceable (post ESC assessment/action), Unserviceable R2/R4 or Scrap in accordance with MAM-P, the CIETP SMR code, Defence Logistics Framework, and local standing orders.
Sign as 1st & 2nd signatory, within trade, in the MF700C workbook when assessing assets back to a serviceable condition.
Conduct GOLDesp Boundary Cell activities in support of the R2/R4 process as authorised and directed by the ESC/Boundary Cell leads, inc the update of GOLDesp records on assets for which R2 is shown as custodian.
Carry out Equipment Sentencing activities on all assets to ensure the customer receives correctly conditioned serviceable assets and R2 or R4 vendors receive correctly conditioned repairable assets.
When raising conditioning labels, ensure all additional maintenance practises are called for to optimise cost benefit.
Post detailed inspection, carry out Disposal process for assets that do not meet the individual vendors repairable standards.
Identify, assess, and document suitable RADA items.
Maintain the RADA database, ensuring only suitable RADA candidates remain in store.
Investigate rejections in support of the Monthly Demand Plans.
Identify and document potential SCW candidates.
Challenge maintenance policy.
Ensure asset GOLDesp data is up to date with an in-date life verification check.
Control a database of additional information required in the day-to-day activities of conditioning assets.
Input of Leaflet 103/109, challenging repair limits and maintenance policy and earlier data correction activities.
Maintain rejection register to enable trend analysis.
Identify potential MF760 items IAW MAM-P in liaison with MOSST whilst ascertaining with the originator if MF760 action has been considered. If F760 action is not

required process as R2/R4, If MF760 action is required return asset back to originator. Any issues are to be reported to Management.
Raise QOR’s in support of conditioning errors.
The control and management of tools iaw local standing orders (RNAS Culdrose Aviation orders (AESO’s) Ch 4808 and MAM-P Ch 4.13.1. These regulations detail the requirement for organizations to use correct and serviceable tools and equipment, in a controlled manner.
Maintain quarantine database to ensure assets subject to EO, E1 or E3 action either due to technical queries, GOLDesp issues or outstanding L109s are investigated for effective progression. Once investigation is complete, liaise with Logistics management to ensure item is then conditioned correctly to meet demand plans.
Undertake any other duties as directed by the ESC Lead and/or Senior Staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Served a recognised engineering apprenticeship or having gained relevant experience in an aviation environment. Experience of conditioning technical equipment, preferably in the defence industry or within the armed services.
Holds a Certificate of Competency for Aircraft Engineering.
IT literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office application.
Good working knowledge of MOD Engineering Information Systems (inc GOLDesp and CIETP) and associated documentation.
Understand the requirements applicable to conditioning technical equipment in the MOD environment.
Working knowledge of MOD supply system.
Experience of Packaging – if necessary, training will be given.
Good level GCEs/GCSEs in Mathematics and English.
Clean driving licence.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work unsupervised, to demanding deadlines.
An understanding of Health and Safety and MOD regulations as applied to conditioning and storing goods is required.
