Early Years Practitioner Specification
Empowering Learning is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to join the team at a Nursery School in Old Oscott. This is a full-time, fixed-term role working with children from 0 to 4 years old and is attached to a one-form entry Primary School.
Our client offers a nurturing, play-based environment designed to support children's development in their earliest years. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will work alongside a committed team of professionals delivering outstanding care and education.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will:
* Support Room Leaders in creating a well-organised, stimulating learning environment
* Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities across the EYFS framework
* Conduct regular observations to support assessment and track developmental progress
* Support children in reaching key developmental milestones
* Build positive relationships with parents to enhance children's wellbeing
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and high-quality learning setting
Requirements:
* A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Strong literacy, numeracy, and ICT capabilities
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
