We're currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Events Team based in Tamworth. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key player in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment at the heart of one of Speedy's most dynamic divisions.
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be the face of Speedy to a select portfolio of major account customers, ensuring their needs are understood, met, and exceeded. You'll be focused on strengthening existing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring Speedy remains the trusted partner of choice for complex event and specialist hire projects.
Working within the Events Team, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting time-critical, high-profile jobs across the country - delivering tailored equipment and service packages to major events, infrastructure projects, and specialist sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a defined portfolio of major accounts
* Develop strategic account plans to increase revenue and customer engagement
* Identify and pursue new opportunities within existing accounts and target markets
* Act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring a seamless and responsive experience
* Work closely with internal teams (logistics, operations, engineering) to deliver effective solutions
* Track customer performance, analyse data, and report on business development progress
* Champion the Events Team's capability both internally and in the wider marketplace
* Support and deliver on our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver
What We're Looking For
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities
* Commercial acumen and experience in strategic account development
* Confident with IT systems and data analysis (PC literate)
* Ability to adapt to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
* Self-starter with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
* Full UK Driving Licence required
