Key Responsibilities
* Conduct new patient health checks (including NHS Health Checks)
* Record baseline observations (BP, temperature, pulse, weight, height, etc.)
* Facilitate BP monitoring (routine and 24-hour) and provide patient advice
* Perform ECGs, venepuncture and administer vaccinations (flu, shingles, pneumococcal, B12) after training
* Provide ear irrigation under supervision when trained
* Assist with wound care, dressing and other clinical tasks
* Support management of chronic disease clinics
* Deliver opportunistic health promotion and patient education
* Act as a chaperone and support minor operations
* Prepare specimens and ensure records ready for onward transport
* Maintain clinical areas, stock, fridges and manage clinical waste per IPC policy
* Ensure clinical rooms adequately stocked, fridges cleaned and waste removed with sharps bins replaced per IPC policy
* Participate in practice audit and local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
* Participate in shared learning within the organisation
* Prepare for opening and closing procedures per duty rota

Qualifications
Essential
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
* Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
Desirable
* Qualified in Phlebotomy
* Qualified to NVQ level 3
Experience
Essential
* Experience working within general practice, hospital or care home environment preferable.
