Full time, 35 hours per week. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to take on the role of Registered Nursing Home Manager in our reputable healthcare facility at Newlands House. Newlands House is rated "Good" by CQC and is a home for 37 people with physical disabilities. We would really love to hear from you if you have a strong understanding of safeguarding requirements, great leadership skills and proven experience in successfully running a service within the care sector. As a Service Manager with Leonard Cheshire, you will provide clear direction, management and supervision of a great staff team. Leading with passion and enthusiasm to ensure your service is well run, you will promote positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach. We are looking for a manager that has clinical nursing experience.
Responsibilities
* Provide clear direction, management and supervision of the staff team to ensure the service is well run and contributes to positive outcomes for disabled people.
* Lead with passion and enthusiasm, promoting the organisation’s values and ethos.
* Ensure health and safety compliance and fulfil statutory obligations.
* Operate within budgetary requirements and maintain a financially sound service.
* Recruit, train, develop and manage performance of staff; ensure achievement of national minimum care standard requirements.
* Hold registration for the service.
* Coordinate and oversee involvement of different departments (therapies, transport, catering, administration, care and maintenance) as applicable.
Qualifications
* A recognised nursing or social care qualification and registration (as appropriate to the needs of the service).
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent as required for registration.
* Substantial experience in managing care teams / supervisory or management experience in a care environment.
* Strong people and communication skills with excellent customer service.
* Thorough understanding of financial data and ability to manage budgets.
* Valid NMC PIN (Nursing Pin).
