Finance Officer - Development Sales

Were looking for a Finance Officer - Development Sales to join our fabulous Investments team here at Platform Housing Group, the largest social housing association in the Midlands, but were much more than just houses; we build homes, strong communities, and make a real and positive difference to the lives of our customers.
Working with us is more than just a job, you will be joining an amazing organisation that values you and your contribution, and in this role, youll proactively support the Development Accountant in delivering a first‑class finance business partner service to our Development & Sales Teams; being responsible for processing all our shared ownership sales transactions.
You will be responsible for preparation and posting of 1st Tranche Sales, assisting in budgets, forecasts, monthly management accounts and year end accounts. Youll also maintain a register of client deposits reconciling to bank accounts, monitor all schemes for cross subsidy and impairment and allocation of Sales & Marketing costs across schemes, ensuring that transactions reconcile to those on the financial ledger.
Qualifications
* Part Qualified as an Accountant with proven experience within finance
* Ideally, youll have previous experience within the housing sector, but this is not essential
* Good knowledge of financial software packages, D365 is desirable
* Experience in production of quarterly and annual management and statutory account information.
* Ability to provide accounting information to challenging deadlines.
* Comfortable working with a high volume of transactions.
* Good problem solving ability and desire to contribute new ideas to support continuous improvement.
While this role offers the flexibility of being home‑based, occasional travel to Group offices and other locations, including Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park, Worcester, is required.
