We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic, supportive Tutors to work with Year 11 learners preparing for GCSEs or Functional Skills. If you’re upbeat, committed, and great at building confidence, this role could be your perfect fit.
🌟 What You’ll Do
As a Prospero Tutor, you’ll:
1. Deliver 1:1 or small‑group sessions in GCSE or Functional Skills Maths/English
2. Break learning down into fun, achievable steps
3. Prepare engaging, personalised lessons
4. Track progress and celebrate improvements
5. Support learners who need an extra confidence boost
6. Record attendance and session notes
7. Help students feel capable, prepared, and exam‑ready
💡 What We’re Looking For
You’re someone who is:
8. Confident teaching Maths and/or English up to GCSE level
9. Experienced in UK education (minimum 1 year)
10. Friendly, patient, and able to build trust quickly
11. Creative in your teaching style
12. Calm, reliable, and adaptable
13. Experience with SEN/SEMH is a bonus – not a dealbreaker
📍 Location & Hours
14. Based in DT8 – Beaminster and nearby villages
15. Up to 15 hours per week (flexible, mostly daytime)
16. Opportunities for additional learners available
💷 Pay Rate
17. £25-£30 per hour, depending on experience
✔️ Requirements
To work with Prospero Teaching, you must:
18. Have the right to work in the UK
19. Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (Update Service or willing to apply)
20. Provide professional references
21. Have safeguarding training (or be happy to complete it)
