Honesty Group is an independent business operating pubs, restaurants, coffeeshops, and farm shops as well as serving our online and wholesale customers. Opened in 2014, Honesty Group now runs 14 sites across Berkshire and Hampshire, with our strong community-led values, and people-first approach separating us from our competitors. We are committed to holding ourselves to the highest standards with regards to the environment and sustainability, with all our food made by hand by our incredible team of chefs and bakers utilising fresh, seasonal, local ingredients (where possible) and served to our customers by dedicated, healthy and happy staff.

Shifts & Hours

* 50 hours per week
* 5-day week: Wednesday to Sunday (Mondays & Tuesdays off)

Salary & Benefits

* £38,500 per annum (including accommodation) – accommodation provided on-site at no cost as part of the total remuneration package
* Tronc: £250–£350+ per month

We operate Wednesday to Sunday, catering for 50–60 covers, with our busiest services Friday to Sunday plus occasional events.

The Role

We are looking for a capable and motivated Sous Chef to join our team and help run a small but busy kitchen.

Working alongside our full-time CDP and supported by our Executive Chef (who designs the core menus), you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Running service and leading the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
* Overseeing prep, stock, and ordering
* Creating 1–2 weekly specials within existing purchasing guidelines
* Maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety

About You

* Experience as a Sous Chef (or strong CDP looking to step up)
* Confident leading a small, busy kitchen team
* Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
* Passionate about seasonal, locally inspired food
* A collaborative approach and willingness to support across sites
