Morgan Advanced Materials is looking for a Financial Systems Accountant to join our Group Finance function in Windsor. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across a global organisation, ensuring seamless financial consolidation and driving improvements in financial systems and processes.
We are seeking a Systems accountant skilled in SAP BPC System to provide functional and technical expertise for our consolidation and planning processes. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong hands‑on capability in SAP BPC, excellent SAP BPC development skills, and the ability to work closely with finance and business users.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for SAP BPC user queries, providing timely and professional troubleshooting support.
* Guide end users on system functionality, data submission processes, resolution of validation errors, and reporting‑related issues.
* Document recurring issues and standard solutions to enhance user self‑service and reduce repeated queries.
* Perform pre–month‑end system tasks, including loading exchange rates, setting up new users, opening business processes, and uploading or updating leases in the IFRS16 module.
* Maintain and update existing SAP BPC models, business rules, logic scripts, and process flows in line with evolving business and user requirements.
* Follow the full software development lifecycle, ensuring controlled and compliant transport of changes into the Production environment.
* Build, update, and optimise EPM reports and input templates, including the development and maintenance of VBA‑based macros.
* Enhance data entry and submission processes by automating ETL workflows and data‑upload activities.
* Strengthen departmental controls and processes through ongoing review and optimisation initiatives.
* Contribute to the creation and improvement of training materials and process documentation to support user capability and system adoption.
Requirements
* Strong hands‑on experience with SAP BPC, including the ability to update models, business rules, logic scripts, and manage transports through to Production.
* Proven experience maintaining and enhancing EPM reports and input templates, including updating and troubleshooting VBA scripts.
* Knowledge of designing and building import templates and improving data import and integration processes.
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the capability to diagnose and resolve complex SAP BPC user issues efficiently.
* Solid understanding of consolidation accounting principles and their application within financial systems.
* Proactive and curious, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to follow issues through to full resolution.
* Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective system designs and solutions.
* Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical topics clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Demonstrated ability to provide patient, supportive, and effective end‑user assistance.
* Ability to build trust and credibility with finance and business stakeholders through consistent, reliable support.
