Outokumpu is a multinational stainless-steel producer. In our Green Metals Team, we aim to leverage state-of-the-art technologies and emerging innovations to establish a new paradigm in environmentally sustainable metals production. We recently established a research and development center in the Greater Boston Area focused on decarbonization and new product development for stainless steel manufacturing. We are seeking a motivated Office Manager to join our Team to ensure that our office and laboratory operations run smoothly.
Base pay range
$76,200.00/yr - $95,200.00/yr

Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience in a related field
* Proven 5+ years of experience in a relevant office, administrative, warehouse, or laboratory setting
* Microsoft Office
* Experience using SAP (required)
* Basic financial tasks, including processing invoices and collaborating with Outokumpu’s financial organization for expense tracking, budgeting, and reporting
Your role would include a mix of office management, administrative, and procurement tasks
* Reception of visitors at the front desk of the facility
* Office coordination, including maintaining stocks of office supplies, coffee, snacks, etc.
* Scheduling and organizing team meetings, including preparing agendas and ordering catering
* Scheduling recurring work by external contractors (office cleaning, lab coat cleaning, waste pickup, inspections, equipment maintenance, etc.)
* Organization of laboratory material, consumable, and equipment stocks
* Tracking laboratory consumable consumption and maintaining stocks of supplies
* Receiving and unpacking mail and packages
* Packaging and mailing laboratory samples
* Collaborating with Outokumpu’s procurement organization for purchasing, inventory management, and internal audits

Physical Requirements
* Perform repetitive movements when using computer equipment (keyboard and mouse)
* Remain seated for extended periods (6-8 hours) with potential to alternate with standing
* Speak and listen clearly in quiet or noisy environments
* Frequent reaching and manipulation of objects with hands and arms
* Walk frequently within the office and plant, may go up and down stairs, stoop or bend as necessary
* Review documents in digital and physical format with high visual precision
* Lift and move objects up to 20 kg occasionally
* Maintain flexibility to shift between tasks and locations within the plant and office
* Willing to travel by land or air; able to handle long waiting and transfer times, including national and international trips
