This role is based in our East Finchley office working 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
What is the purpose of this role?
The Asset & Configuration Technical Analyst is a key contributor to the Asset & Configuration Management team, overseeing diverse toolsets essential for Running Great Restaurant Technologies. This encompasses the management of monitoring and telemetry software, Restaurant Asset Management Software, and Configuration Management software. The role includes configuring and localising new images on hardware, coordinating patching activities, updating firmware and drivers, maintaining version control, validating data for both software and hardware, managing CMDB data, handling team requests and support tickets, and providing ad-hoc technical support for the wider Asset & Configuration Management Team.

1. The Asset & Configuration Technical Analyst will operate as part of Asset and Configuration Management team within the Running Great Restaurant Technology function and will support the wider Technology and Change function.
2. The role will also work closely with counterparts in other Leading International Operating Markets (LIOM) markets as well as the market Deployment & Testing, Cybersecurity & Data, and Service Operations teams to ensure the timely deployment, testing, security, compliance and smooth operation.

What will my key accountabilities be?
Toolset Management:
9. Oversee and manage various toolsets associated with Running Great Restaurant Technologies, including monitoring and telemetry software, Restaurant Asset Management Software, and Configuration Management software.
Image Configuration:
10. Configure and localise new images on hardware to ensure efficient and effective deployment within the restaurant technologies ecosystem.
Patching Coordination:
11. Coordinate patching activities for software, ensuring timely and comprehensive updates to maintain system security and functionality.
Firmware and Driver Updates:
12. Manage and coordinate activities related to firmware and driver updates, ensuring that hardware components are up-to-date and compatible with software requirements.
Version Control:
13. Maintain version control for software and associated components, tracking changes and updates to facilitate effective troubleshooting and system management.
Data Validation:
14. Validate data for both software and hardware to ensure accuracy and reliability, contributing to the overall integrity of the Asset & Configuration Management system.
CMDB Data Management:
15. Manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data, ensuring that it accurately reflects the current state of software and hardware configurations.
Ticket Handling:
16. Handle tickets related to team requests and support, addressing issues promptly and efficiently to meet the needs of the Asset & Configuration Management Team.
Ad-hoc Technical Support:
17. Provide ad-hoc technical support to the broader Asset & Configuration Management Team, offering expertise and assistance as needed.
Global Alignment
18. Work closely with colleagues in GTIO and GTRM to understand and plan for emerging technologies and implement them within the organisation to agreed milestones.

20. Good experience with ServiceNow ticketing system
21. Good experience/knowledge of software discovery and management tools.
22. Knowledge of Configuration Management Databases (CMDB)
23. Knowledge of different operating systems (Microsoft, Unix, Linux, etc.)
