About the team:
Join our team as a Senior Business Analyst - Data and be part of a supportive environment where your skills and expertise are valued, and your contributions make a difference. The role reports to the Data Product Owner and will work alongside other Senior Business Analysts to define desirable, viable, feasible, and sustainable data solutions supporting development across the product lifecycle. It acts as an intermediary between business stakeholders and lab development teams, engineers, and other domain services to ensure alignment with the Product Owner's vision and goals, and the prioritized backlog.

This role can be based in Wolverhampton or Chatham, with some travel to other offices.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Senior Business Analyst - Data, you will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements, translating their needs into actionable requirements. Using your experience in an Agile environment, your primary responsibility will be to convert these requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria. You will analyze complex data, refine requirements, and work with agile teams to deliver innovative data-driven solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
* Refining user stories and breaking them down into smaller tasks, ensuring clarity and alignment.
* Developing data models, data flows, and other artifacts to visualize data relationships and processes.
* Conducting business impact assessments, feasibility studies, and researching systems, processes, and products, making recommendations accordingly.
* Ensuring solutions meet standards through data modeling, data lineage, data dictionaries, and information quality requirements.
* Maintaining end-to-end traceability against quality standards and regulatory requirements.
* Ensuring all user stories meet the Definition of Ready (DoR).
* Facilitating workshops to capture and analyze business requirements, documenting solutions, and liaising with stakeholders.

We offer a salary dependent on experience and location, between £65,000 and £75,000, along with a benefits package including:

Do you have the skills?
* Proven experience as a senior business analyst or Product Owner in an agile environment, especially on data-centric projects including data migration.
* Strong technical understanding of business intelligence, fintech operational systems, data repositories, data services, data management, and cloud storage.
* Proficiency in data analysis, working with large datasets, and identifying trends.
* Excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders, defining business processes, and facilitating workshops.
* Experience in writing functional and technical user stories with acceptance criteria aligned with business goals.
* Experience in an Agile transformation within Financial Services.
