Are you a dedicated SCPHN-qualified nurse with a passion for proactive public health? Join our Wandsworth School Nursing Team and lead the way in improving the health and life chances of our diverse school-aged population.
We are looking for four dynamic, highly motivated individuals to join our multidisciplinary team. At CLCH, school nursing is more than just a clinical role; it is a vital public health intervention. You will be at the heart of the Healthy Child Programme, working at the intersection of health, education, and safeguarding to support children, young people, and families across Wandsworth.
You will be visible in schools, acting as a trusted partner to headteachers and other service providers. You will:
* Identify and address the unique health needs of school-aged children.
* Deliver health promotion initiatives that make a tangible difference in local communities.
* Collaborate with team colleagues to deliver Quality Strategy objectives.
* Provide expert advice that bridges the gap between health and education.
PLEASE NOTE - applicants must have SCPHN - School Nursing (BSc course) qualification and RGN Registered Nurse (Paediatric or Adult or Midwife).

Main duties of the job
* Specialist Clinical Leadership: You will plan, organize, and evaluate an innovative school nursing service for a cluster of high-complexity schools. You aren't just delivering care; you are architecting how health improvement and proactive initiatives are managed within your community.
* Championing Safeguarding: Working at the forefront of the Working Together to Safeguard Children agenda, you will be supported by an outstanding safeguarding team to ensure those at risk are protected and supported.
* Invested in Your Growth: We offer a robust 12-month preceptorship programme for new starters, alongside a comprehensive training suite specifically designed for school nurses. Whether it's supporting your revalidation or attending our annual Educators/Mentors Conference, we celebrate and invest in your professional journey.
* Mentorship & Development: As a Band 6 leader, you will take on development and mentoring roles, helping to build your own leadership portfolio while supporting junior staff and student nurses.
