GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming school in Sheffield. This role is ideal for those considering a career in teaching or education, as it offers valuable classroom experience while making a positive impact on pupils’ learning. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task with their pre-set work. You will help maintain a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment while managing behaviour effectively. As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Deliver pre-prepared lessons and supervise pupils in the classroom. Ensure students stay engaged and focused on their learning. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Support pupils in understanding tasks and encourage participation. Work collaboratively with staff to contribute to the wider school environment. Requirements for Cover Supervisor: Previous experience working with young people (desirable, but not essential). Strong communication and behaviour management skills. Confidence in supervising a classroom setting. A flexible, proactive, and reliable attitude. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
