As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you'll be a face of the hotel, so we want you to bring your warm and friendly personality to work with you every day. Take a deep breath because you'll be stepping into a busy role! You'll be working as part of a vibrant team to deliver first-class hospitality to our guests in the hotel's restaurant and bar.
Job Description & Key Accountabilities: -
* Greeting the guest with a warm welcome.
* To maximise client satisfaction by ensuring that the quality of service is maintained at the standards required within the Order Takers Station area.
* To ensure cleanliness and readiness and after each service
* To collect any relevant food items from the Kitchen before each service in a timely manner
* To encourage an increase in average spends through effective communication with clients and active upselling.
* To liaise with the F&B Manager/Supervisors regarding service and any other information of relevance.
* To be responsible for taking food orders correctly and completely whilst being as informative aspossible to the client.
* Taking orders from the guest, serving them until they leave, ensuring they have a pleasant experience in the restaurant.
* Good menu knowledge.
* Using the micros system as a check system and the billing for the guest.
* To be responsible for the payment of quests when they are ready to leave and closing of bills.
* Prepare coffee and tea.
* Prepare relay equipment.
* Ensure that the used crockery from your station is taken to the wash up area as soon as possible.
* After service, relay table for the next service.
* To attend any training sessions as required.
* To be fully conversant with the Hotel Fire and Emergency operations.
* To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
* To comply with any reasonable instructions issued by management.
* Ensure all set deadlines are met and time is managed effectively and efficiently.
* To know and follow the Health & Safety at Work Act.
* To ensure the correct HMRC guidelines are followed in disclosing your tips/commission.
* To comply with any reasonable instructions issued by management.
Requirements: -
* Good command of English and/or Mandarin Chinese with the ability to communicate confidently
* Previous experience working with Chinese cuisine is beneficial but not essential
* Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
