It is an exciting time to join us at Redmayne Bentley. As we go into our 150th year in business, we are embarking on the next stage of our firm-wide strategy to build, improve and develop upon our strong, historic foundations.
Our Finance team is already playing a critical role in this, and we are looking for a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join this dynamic team and add their valuable knowledge and experience to the mix.
Providing essential and valued support to our Finance Manager, you will be helping to ensure our financial and regulatory reporting is accurate and to the highest standards of financial integrity.
Your key responsibilities would be:
* Preparation of the Client Money and Asset Returns (CMAR) and assisting in the Client Money Reconciliations in accordance with FCA CASS requirements.
* Preparation and submission of Capital regulatory and VAT returns in accordance with regulatory standards and deadlines.
* Oversight of the preparation and submission of partnership and tax returns, liaising with external advisors.
* Assisting with year-end accounts preparation, including audit support and statutory disclosures.
* Supporting the development of Treasury Management activities, including liaising with Banks and other third parties.
* Acting as primary point of contact for queries relating to Redmayne Capital Limited, including liaising with shareholders, processing dividends and facilitating share transactions.
This is not a client-facing role, your main communications will be with your departmental colleagues and other stakeholders from across the firm.
We are looking for someone who has proven accounting skills who is keen to get stuck in and join a well-established and welcoming team.
Further specific details about the role can be found in the job description attached to this advert.
What we’re looking for
Qualifications and Experience
* Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).
* Experience of financial accounting within the financial services sector.
* Previous regulatory experience.
* Experience working as part of team and maintaining positive team culture
Skills & Behaviours
* Self-sufficient and self-motivated, with a proactive attitude.
* Strong communication and influencing skills, flexing and adapting style to build rapport.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail and proven accuracy skills.
* A team player who collaborates and encourages others.
* Competent user of Microsoft Office applications and finance systems (Excel/Sage).
* Ability to adapt and use own initiative.
What does the future look like?
Once you are settled into the role, you will be able to take on more responsibility within the team and develop your skills and experience further through CPD and other development opportunities.
Redmayne Bentley provides support for colleagues to achieve industry standard qualifications, if that is something they wish to do.
For someone who is keen to progress in this field, there will be developmental and coaching support provided for you to potentially progress into a more senior role in the future.
