An opportunity has arisen for a 6 month secondment as Head of Nursing for Site Operations. We are looking for a highly dynamic and self-motivated individual.
TheHeadofNursingforEvelinaLondonSiteOperationsprovidesstrategicoversight,particularly reviewingthesiteandoperationalnursingleadershipacrossinpatientservices.Theyare responsible and accountabletothe Director of Nursing for Evelina London to ensure thedepartmentdeliversonallofitsobjectives,andformanagingthedeliveryofEvelinawide clinical services. The Head of Nursing for Evelina London Site Operations works together with theDirectorate management teams for clinical and non-clinical services to ensure Evelina Londonwide operational, clinical and nursing priorities are identified and delivered. The post holder isaccountableforensuringEvelinaLondoncapacityisusedtomaximumefficiencywhilstmaintainingsafetyandqualityof care atall times.
Main duties of the job
The Head of Nursing for Evelina London Site Operations is responsible via the Evelina LondonSite Operations team, for providing a 24 hour site management service. This includes themanagement of the elective, emergency and network inter-hospital transfer bed managementprocesses, including management of occupancy levels and expediting discharge of long staypatients. They will ensure the senior manager on-call is aware of any changes, incident orunnatural events. It further includes responsibility for supporting the safety and integrity of theChildrenandWomen’sServicessiteoutofhours,andprovidingthebronzelevelresponseinthe eventof a declared majorincident or Trust criticalincident.

1. Registered Nurse on the NMC register
2. Relevant Masters/MBA qualification or equivalent experience.

3. Demonstrate a successful track record of delivering effective nursing services as a senior nurse manager responsible for staff management, financial management and change management.
4. Experience of working and delivering Trust-wide professional nursing objectives.
5. Evidence of delivering operational performance across a range of services
6. Experience of quality and risk management, to include experience in analysing and resolving complex complaints and incidents.
7. A strong track record of managing complexity and risk whilst maintaining high standards of nursing care.
