Are you ready to lead a key client relationship and shape the future of the water industry? Our UK&I Water business is looking for 2 Client Account Managers (CAMs) to support our ambitious growth plans. One CAM will support Anglian Water & Severn Trent; the other will support Wessex and South West Water.
A Client Account Manager is a pivotal role responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships, aligning our services with client priorities and needs, and helping shape how our clients go to market. CAMs are assigned to clients and opportunities with significant growth potential, whether due to scale, complexity, or innovative technical/commercial needs.
Team
The AECOM Water team has a significant market presence across the UK & Ireland, with long-term client relationships and workload with Environment Agency, Uisce Éireann, Northern Ireland Water, Scottish Water, Anglian Water, Severn Trent Water, South West Water, Wessex Water, Thames Water, Southern Water and contractors. Major water sector opportunities are expected in coming years, and we seek a senior CAM to continue building client relationships and brand ahead of future procurement. Opportunities include:
* Major AMP8 opportunities with England and Wales Water Companies (e.g., Severn Trent Water, Anglian Water).
* UK&I projects under Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) and Strategic Infrastructure Project Regulations (SIPR).
* Environment Agency frameworks and future key pursuits with a client-focused approach.
* The Mining Remediation Authority (formerly the Coal Authority).
Responsibilities
* Trusted Partner: Develop deep understanding of the client, regulatory environment, future direction and challenges. Maintain and grow trusted relationships across key stakeholders and directorates.
* Expertise: Ensure we present the full range of AECOM capabilities, maintain awareness of our technical and business offerings, and adapt as needed to meet future requirements.
* Growth: Deliver end-to-end pursuit management, including positioning, win planning and bid delivery. Create a compelling client offer and ensure smooth handover to delivery teams.
* Collaborate: Coordinate with internal teams to assess resource availability and assemble delivery teams to maximise win potential.
Required expertise
* Develop and implement an account strategy aimed at positioning for future work, including partnering strategies and relationships.
* Develop and implement a sales strategy aligned with internal governance to win significant, complex or important work.
* Lead end-to-end delivery of major pursuits, including proposal development, pricing/ commercial strategy, and negotiation of terms and conditions.
* Prepare and conduct regular account reviews with business leaders, gather intelligence, and maintain an effective engagement plan.
* Stay up to date on industry/sector developments to provide relevant insights to the wider team.
Qualifications

We are looking for:
* Experience in the water sector or another relevant sector.
* Experience in client account management and business development, with ability to drive growth through effective client management and service delivery.
* Proven relationship-building and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong proposal development and presentation skills.
* Ability to analyse performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.
