Energy Manager: Technical Facility Services Energy Management & Utilities
We are looking for an Energy Manager to join the Airbus Facilities Management and Real Estate (FMRE) organisation at Belfast. In this role, you will ensure the site achieves energy, sustainability, and compliance objectives for FMRE to meet operational, functional, and company strategic goals, in full compliance with all relevant regulations and aligning with the transnational organisation.
You may interface with the FMRE transnational team and UK business stakeholders to support the V2030 and our Top Functional Objectives (TFO) in energy, water, and decarbonisation related to the CO2 strategy. The job holder will be responsible for understanding market activities, trends, innovations to identify, prioritise, support, and monitor investments within UK sites, and communicate with other FMRE functions and environmental organisations within the organisation.
How You Will Contribute to the Team
1. Define strategy and policy for energy management and supply, propose and coordinate energy-saving projects.
2. Understand customer needs and operational changes in demand to assess, plan, communicate investments, and report performance.
3. Anticipate and shape international/national regulation, investigate benchmarks, and experiment with new technologies, digitalisation, and best practices for energy.
4. Evaluate new regulations impacting energy, manage energy supply delivery points, and energy sold to the public grid and tenants.
5. Collect data, ensure accuracy, and report energy and CO2 data to authorities.
6. Ensure energy supply supports Airbus operations and implement measures to reduce energy and water consumption.
7. Manage financial aspects, including budgeting and site energy-saving projects.
8. Deploy and manage the Airbus Energy Management System.
9. Implement governance to measure, report, and communicate performance against corporate targets for energy reduction, decarbonisation, and water utilisation.
10. Develop UK and site-specific roadmaps for delivering corporate sustainability directives on energy efficiency, water, and decarbonisation.
About You
1. Degree or equivalent in Energy/Environmental Management or related field.
2. Demonstrated experience in energy management.
3. Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
4. Financial management experience.
5. Project management skills.
6. Experience in energy data analysis and performance management.
7. Knowledge of energy efficiency operations and sites.
8. Understanding of sustainability regulations and compliance.
9. Ability to establish FMRE specifications.
10. Familiarity with ISO 50001 energy management standards or equivalent.
11. Knowledge of global and local energy markets.
12. Experience in partner and subcontractor management.
13. Fundamentals of project management.
