Complex Care Support Worker – Lincoln
We are seeking dedicated support workers to join our team for a new client in Lincoln. The client is a 13‑year‑old male with an optic nerve tumour, seizures, blindness, hydrocephalus shunt, NG tube and uses a wheelchair due to fatigue.
Hours available
Monday–Friday hours available plus weekend shifts and longer weekday shifts during school holidays. Sleeping nights may also be required in the near future.
Pay
£16 per hour on weekdays, £17 per hour on weekends.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver personalized care routines.
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility and meal preparation.
* Administer medication and monitor health conditions.
* Encourage and join in with activities.
* Provide emotional support and companionship.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client’s condition.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
* Experience supporting teenagers and individuals with brain injuries, seizures and blindness.
* Relevant qualifications in health and social care.
* UK full driving licence; 25 years old or older for insurance purposes to drive clients (WAV).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.
