We are looking for energetic and encouraging Kids Camp Supervisors to join us at Long Stratton Leisure Centre, where you will work as part of an enthusiastic team dedicated to helping to create fantastic days for every child attending our Kids Camps. From the moment they arrive until it's time to go home, you'll play a key role in making sure their experience is fun, safe and memorable. About the Role In this role, you will put children at the heart of everything you do, making sure every child feels welcome, included and supported throughout the day, especially those who may feel nervous at first. You'll help to create a fun and positive environment where children can thrive, whilst always maintaining the highest standards of care and attention. You will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the children, following Kids Camp policies and procedures at all times. This includes making sure facilities and equipment are used safely and respectfully, carrying out daily checks and leaving spaces clean and tidy at the end of each day. As part of your role, you'll manage day-to-day situations, including behavioural matters, ensuring any issues are handled appropriately and recorded accurately. You'll also ensure that every child is safely signed out to the correct adult, in line with our processes. You'll build positive relationships with parents, responding to any questions or concerns with professionalism and care, with support from the Leisure Activities Manager when needed. You will also oversee Kids Camp Assistants, ensuring they follow procedures and deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for every child. Safeguarding is a key priority, and you'll ensure any concerns are recognised, handled appropriately and reported to the Designated Safeguarding Officer. About You With a caring, patient and inclusive approach, you will bring experience of working with a wide range of children and young people in a play work setting, whether through paid or voluntary roles, together with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to children/young people and adults. You will ideally have previous experience of working with the public in a friendly and approachable manner together with a First Aid qualification, although training can be provided if required.
