About Ormston School
Opened in September 2024, Ormston School provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 18. Your Role and Responsibilities
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
* Plan and teach well-structured lessons to small class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant.
* Assess, monitor, and report on the learning needs and progress of your pupils.
* Adapt your teaching methods to cater to the diverse strengths and needs of your students.
* Set high standards that inspire and motivate your pupils.
* Demonstrate secure subject knowledge and curriculum understanding.
* Prepare learners for external tests and assessments.
* Teach across the KS3/KS4 Curriculum, with a focus on SEND adaptations.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subjects is preferred.
* A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and adapt teaching to meet their needs.
* Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
* Good ICT skills to enhance learning.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, term-time only position with a salary range of £28,000 - £39,520. You will be part of a friendly and inclusive team dedicated to improving pupil outcomes.
