About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, empathetic and skilled Teaching Assistants / Pastoral Support Workers to join our committed and caring team. This is a vital role, supporting our learners to engage positively in school life and achieve their full potential.
The role involves:
Working closely with pupils to meet their individual needs
Supporting wellbeing, communication, learning and behaviour
Collaborating with families, school staff and external professionals
Providing high-quality care and supervision throughout the school day
Additional Care & Support Responsibilities:
As part of this role, you will also be required to:
Support pupils with toileting, personal care and hygiene routines
Assist with changing, including the use of hoists and specialist equipment (training provided)
Support pupils with feeding, including specialist diets and enteral/PEG feeding where required (training provided)
Administer or assist with medication, following school procedures and training
Respond appropriately to complex behaviours, including behaviours that challenge
Support pupils with a wide range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including communication needs, sensory needs, learning difficulties and medical needs
These responsibilities are essential to ensuring that every pupil can access a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Additional Requirements
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration is required for all support staff in Wales
This post involves substantial contact with children and/or vulnerable adults. The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check
