Responsibilities
* As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and validating mechanical assemblies, fixturing and enclosures to meet agreed customer and product specifications
* Developing and releasing design documentation to ensure verification and quality
* Participating in FMEA and Process Mapping activities to identify and minimize design risks and optimize design outcomes
* Contributing to longer-term design process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency
Qualifications
* Have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with proven experience in a mechanical design engineering environment
* Have good knowledge of 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer)
* Be able to produce 2D engineering drawings with the approval and release process
* Have a solid design foundation and an understanding of traditional manufacturing methods (DFM) with an understanding of GD&T
* Have had exposure to working in multiple disciplined (electrical, mechanical) design teams
* Have proven analytical and problem-solving skills
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with experience in procedure development
* Be proactive and use your initiative, able to work unsupervised and make sound engineering decisions
