School Safeguarding Officer
Salary: Level 4 (8–12)
Contract: 37.5 hours (8am-4pm)
We are seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Officer to join our team. This role is vital in supporting students' welfare, emotional wellbeing, and safeguarding needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Work directly with students and families requiring early help or additional support.
* Support young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Make referrals and liaise with external agencies to ensure effective safeguarding.
* Maintain accurate records using CPOMs and ensure information is shared appropriately.
* Contribute to safeguarding meetings and work collaboratively with school staff.
About You
* Educated to at least GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* Trained in safeguarding procedures (ELSA training desirable).
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
* Confidential, resilient, and committed to promoting the welfare of children.
