Purpose of the role
We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Partner to join our HR Support Services team at our Head Office in Solihull (B37 7YB), with UK travel required. You will be responsible for delivering our training strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting employee growth across the organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence learning initiatives at Colas, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build capabilities and support career development.
Main Responsibilities
* Identify and prioritize training needs in collaboration with business leaders.
* Coordinate and manage training requests and maintain accurate training records.
* Support the implementation of the Learning & Development strategy, including designing and delivering leadership and management programs.
* Evaluate training effectiveness for ROI and ROE assessments.
* Manage relationships with training providers, including contract and SLA negotiations.
* Support apprenticeship and graduate programs, including recruitment, onboarding, and audits.
* Maintain training matrices aligned with the Learning Management System.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of L&D processes, systems, and policies.
Ideal Candidate
Minimum requirements include a CIPD Level 3 qualification in Learning and Development, proven experience in a consultative or specialist L&D role, and strong understanding of the full learning cycle and talent development strategies. Candidates should possess excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems, and experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of apprenticeship schemes and industry training standards is desirable; experience in construction or industrial sectors is a plus but not essential.
Package Description

* Salary between £33,000 and £37,000 (dependent on experience) plus a company car or allowance
