M&E Division Manager (Electrical Bias) Location: Croydon (office-based with regional site visits) Salary: £75,000-£95,000 Car/Allowance Bonus Employment Type: Permanent Role Overview An established construction contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Division Manager (Electrical Bias) to build and lead a new Mechanical & Electrical division. This position requires a hands-on technical leader with strong electrical experience, commercial awareness, and the ability to develop and manage a growing team. You will act as the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, oversee MEP delivery, implement processes, and drive the division's long-term strategy and growth. About the Business The company delivers full turnkey construction solutions across commercial, industrial, residential and public-sector projects. As part of its growth plan, the business is investing in a dedicated M&E division to enhance integrated service delivery across London and the South East. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Growth Build and lead a new M&E division from the ground up. Establish processes, delivery standards and operational structure. Recruit, develop and manage engineers, supervisors and technical staff. Drive performance, reporting and long-term strategic direction. Technical & Compliance Oversight Act as the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for the business. Oversee electrical installation, inspection, testing and certification. Provide technical leadership across electrical systems with good mechanical understanding. Ensure full compliance with regulations, accreditations and industry standards. Project Delivery Oversee MEP delivery across a varied project portfolio. Conduct site visits, progress reviews and client meetings. Manage subcontractors and internal resources to achieve programme, budget and quality targets. Support tendering, pricing and technical documentation where required. Commercial & Client Interface Collaborate with commercial teams on procurement, variations and cost control. Maintain strong client relationships and support business development opportunities. Ensure accurate reporting, forecasting and commercial management across the division. Experience Required Senior-level background in M&E or electrical contracting. Strong electrical expertise with the ability to act as NICEIC Qualified Supervisor. Experience leading teams or establishing new departments/divisions. Good working knowledge of mechanical building services. Strong operational, commercial and client-facing skills. Ability to work from a Croydon office with regional travel. Qualifications Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3, AM2, 18th Edition). NICEIC QS status or eligibility. HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (preferred).
