Role Overview
The Fish Logistics Manager will oversee and coordinate the transportation, documentation, and delivery of seafood products from processing to final destination—both domestically and internationally. This hands-on role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong background in logistics and export operations, ideally within the fish or food processing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage all aspects of fish product logistics, including planning, transportation, and delivery schedules.
* Liaise directly with customers, trucking companies, and export partners to ensure smooth and timely operations.
* Maintain and manage export documentation and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
* Collaborate with internal teams including processing, sales, and quality control.
* Monitor and report on KPIs and delivery performance.
* Ensure high standards of paperwork accuracy and record-keeping.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
* Support the development of scalable logistics systems as the business grows.
* Be available for flexible working hours to accommodate transport schedules and time-sensitive deliveries.
Skills And Experience
* Proven background in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within the food or fish processing industries.
* Experience with trucking and international export logistics.
* Strong understanding of export regulations and documentation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
* Comfortable learning new systems, tools, and processes.
