Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator
Salary Guide £28,000 - £30,000 PA, Depending on Experience
Location: Bury St. Edmunds - Easy access from A14
Hours: Monday to Friday - 8.00 AM to 5.00PM
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator to join this leading provider of logistics services specialising in transport, warehousing, handling of goods.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Customer Service and will play an integral role in our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Entering customer orders into the in-house computer system with accuracy and efficiency.
Booking haulage for deliveries using online carrier systems and managing bookings via email.
Tracking and tracing deliveries to ensure timely arrival and communication with the relevant parties.
Communicating directly with customers and suppliers on the telephone and via e-mail
Recording and responding to customer complaints
Liaising with the warehouse team to ensure customer orders are handled promptly
Liaising with the finance team to ensure customer accounts are up to date before stock release
Investigation of stock-related queries
Building solid relationships with customers
General administration tasks as required
Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a good telephone manner, competent IT skills, particularly MS Office and be a confident, positive communicator at all levels.
Previous administrative experience and proven organisational skills are vital.
Good numeracy and literacy skill and a professional attitude are also necessary.
Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator and food storage/handling experience are highly desirable.
Candidates must be able to work under their own initiative but also within a team.
