Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant (ONLY DRIVING CARERS NEEDED) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in both home care and care home settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and overall health.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive to various locations as required to provide home care services.
* Follow established care plans and report any changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
* Maintain accurate records of patient progress and any incidents that occur during care.
* Assist with mobility and physical activities as directed by healthcare professionals.
* Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
* Experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence for travel between care locations.
* Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining patient records and documentation is advantageous.
* A compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
