Core Responsibilities Instructional Delivery: Teaching a broad range of physical activities across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring lessons are high-energy, inclusive, and technically sound. Academic PE: Delivering the theoretical components of GCSE Physical Education or BTEC Tech Awards, covering anatomy, physiology, and the psychology of sport. Role Modeling & Engagement: Actively encouraging girls' participation in sports, particularly targeting groups that traditionally disengage from PE in their teenage years. Extracurricular Leadership: Coordinating and coaching after-school teams, organizing fixtures against local schools, and managing intra-school tournaments. Safeguarding & Inclusion: Overseeing the girls' changing areas and ensuring a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all female students during physical activities. The Successful Candidate We are looking for a dedicated professional who can inspire a lifelong love of physical activity. Requirements include: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Physical Education or a related Sports Science discipline. Subject Versatility: The ability to teach a variety of sports, with particular expertise in traditional female-focused sports (e.g., Netball, Dance, Gymnastics) alongside contemporary fitness trends. Motivational Impact: A proven ability to engage female students of all sporting abilities, building their self-esteem and physical literacy. Organisational Skills: Experience in managing sports fixtures, risk assessments, and the administrative side of a busy PE department.
