As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be an ambassador for Thames Water out on the road, ensuring our values are upheld and providing first-class customer service – truly being the face of Thames Water.
You will work as part of the Logistics Delivery team, operating a fleet of Potable Water Tankers to support reactive and planned work. You will learn how to take water samples before loading and discharging them into hydrants or reservoirs.
This role requires following processes and procedures. You will drive both HGV 1 and HGV 2 vehicles, which have manual and automatic gearboxes, along with support vehicles such as Welfare vans.
HGV Class 1 Driver Job Details
* Average of 38 hours per week.
* Based at Swinford Water Treatment Works, Oxfordshire.
* Full training and a comprehensive benefits package.
* 38 hours per week - 4 on, 4 off - £42,435.
What should you bring to the role?
* Experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver.
* Willingness to work on a rotational shift pattern, including days and nights.
* No more than 6 penalty points and no DR or IN convictions on your license.
* A full driver CPC and a valid Driver Tachograph card.
* Knowledge of Transport Law and the Road Traffic Act.
* Understanding of Drivers' Hours rules and Working Time regulations.
