General Service Assistant, Part-time, Temporary
Location: Glencorse Army Barracks, Penicuik, EH26 0NP
Contract: Part-time, Temporary (until February 2026)
Hours: 30 hours/week over 5 days (including occasional weekends)
Pay: £12.21/hour
About the Role
Join Aramark UK’s Defence team as a General Service Assistant, where you’ll be at the heart of front-of-house operations. You’ll serve food and beverages, operate tills, maintain cleanliness, and support both front and back-of-house areas—all while delivering top-tier customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve food and drinks to customers.
* Operate tills and handle payments.
* Clean and maintain dining and service areas.
* Support kitchen and service teams.
* Follow health & safety protocols.
* Report to the on-site Catering Manager.

Requirements
* Previous food service/customer-facing experience (training provided).
* Must be 18+.
* Eligible to work in the UK and have lived here for 3+ years (security clearance required).
* Reliable transport due to limited public transport access.
