Roles and Responsibilities
* Reading project specific consultant specification.
* Reading and reviewing project specific drawings, documents and proposals.
* Applying fire alarm and gas suppression knowledge to design systems.
* Producing 3D models and coordinating with the client and other trades during contract design development.
* Maintaining contact with suppliers to stay updated on market developments and products.
* Possibly traveling abroad for client meetings.
* Liaising with clients.
* Attending online and in‑person meetings.
* Engaging with project and sales teams.
* Participating in internal handover meetings upon project award.
Essential Skills
* Understanding of fire alarm and gas suppression standards BS5839, BS6266, BS7273, BSEN15004 etc.
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks for 2D and 3D design work.
* Industry‑standard qualifications are an advantage.
* Previous experience in the fire alarm industry.
* Knowledge of the commercial implications of design work.
* A can‑do hands‑on attitude.
* Excellent customer service and friendly approach.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and work in a team.
* Willingness to learn and develop.
* Reliability.
* Team player.
