We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior QA Auditor to join our Quality Department.
An overview of the role below:
1. To assist in the operation of the QA function by maintaining satisfactory standards of
2. performance with regard to food safety, hygiene, discipline and health and safety and to
3. bring all the issues arising from these duties to the attention of the Site QA Manager or
4. Company Quality Manager
5. To complete the daily tasks of the QA in their absence
6. Assisting the department in preparation for /factory/SSF in preparing for customer
7. visits/audits
8. Training:
9. Training and development and performance monitoring of the Quality Auditors
10. Maintaining satisfactory standards of food safety and hygiene, and to resolve any
11. associated issues, where this is not possible issues are to be brought to the attention of
12. the site Quality Assurance Manager.
13. Laboratory Testing:
14. Liaising with external laboratory
15. Organising lab schedule and lab sheet,
16. Actioning any out of specification results including finished product, air plates, hand
17. swabs, food contact packaging & water sampling.
18. Generating the weekly Lab PO number
19. Ordering ad repair of equipment such as Scales, Probes, pH meters.
20. Liaise with factory operations to resolve factory issues.
21. Management of the Quality Student
22. Management of factory Pest Control.
23. Assisting in any customer complaint investigations
24. Project work as and when required. To perform other tasks which are of a reasonable
25. request in line with the QA department
26. Attending factory trials, launches and various meetings including attendance to the morning
27. meeting in the absence of the Quality Manager.
28. Assisting NPD by attending panels and trials; ensuring product ready for launch (red and
29. green standards/line progressives complete, cintex etc)
30. Non Conformances
Candidates should have auditing experience with knowledge of BRC.
A strong understanding and working knowledge of HACCP and micro is key with capabilities of working to tight deadlines
